Discover the unique story of The Ashley Lodge Lodge and how we have become a hub for celebrating and connecting community members. This historic relic which was built in 1921 to be used as a flour mill. Due to a neighboring town opening their mill a short time before and for one penny less per pound, this building was never able to be used for what it was built to be. Although a local creamery made use of it for some years. Locals recall visiting the creamery for their daily milk and cream. Once the creamery had gone out of business, there were several small businesses that were able to make use of small spaces within the building. A local newspaper, a German restaurant and a small herbal store are some of the businesses that have used this great building. After a forty year silence except for some local kids playing basketball on the 4th floor and some unsupervised parties we purchased this building and started to slowly breath new life into its bones. We have tried to keep with the historical and local feel when planning how we wanted to complete this project. Within our lodge you will notice many antiques, much of the decor was purchased from local auctions. It really is stepping back in time with the luxury of modern living.
